Squeaker Gets a Fever

Well, at almost six months old, she got her first fever. She was acting out-of-it yesterday (Monday) morning, but I didn't think to take her temperature. I dropped her off at daycare at 12:30, midly concerned because she hadn't been eating well all day, and two hours later, they called me to get her because she had a temperature of 102.1. Both the daycare workers and the nurse at her pediatrician's office said not to worry—it's probably teething-related.

So she and I went home and napped. She was definitely not herself, but she would summon up a smile for daddy—or the cats—if she had to. She ate better in the evening, and after a good night of sleep, she seems back to almost-normal. Her temperature is still around 100 to 100.5, but she's acting more like herself. And she gets to visit daddy at his office while mom teaches from 1-3 p.m. today. Wish us luck!
