Here are Ari and Michael, having just tied the knot in a meadow on a bluff in Fort Worden State Park, overlooking Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca:

Tracey was a bridesmaid, and she couldn't resist dressing Maeve up in a fancy dress for the wedding, too. Here they are at the reception, also held on the park grounds:

Our friends Chris and Les also drove to the wedding from eastern Washington and stayed in the same hotel. We had a lot of fun hanging out with them. Here they are at the reception with their kids, Dylan and Halley:

And here are the three of us enjoying the reception:

On the drive home, instead of going all the way to the south end of Puget Sound and then around to the north again, we took a ferry from Kingston on the Olympic Peninsula side to Edmonds on the mainland. Here we are out on the deck in the wind and sun:

Before we reached Kingston, we had to cross the Hood Canal Bridge, which was closed temporarily for maritime traffic when we arrived. We weren't in a big hurry, so we enjoyed the chance to stretch our legs for twenty minutes or so and take in the view:
OH MY GOSH! She is so cute!! How do you both manage to catch all her milestone moments on video?
ReplyDeleteThe photographer called me this morning and told me that Maeve was the best subject, without a doubt, that they've ever had. :)
Seriously, she looked like a fairy princess at the wedding! And she's QUITE the dancer. I am so glad you were all there - thank you so much for coming!
