Weekend Fun with the Gang

Here are a few highlights from last weekend's visit with Tiffany and family. On Saturday, Tiffany, Bert, and Brian walked to the playground at Manito Park with the kids, including Declan snoozing in his baby sling, to give Tracey a break alone at home. Maeve, Mia, and Rhett had a great time. Here's Maeve on the swing with Bert in the background:

Later that day, the kids all had dinner on the back deck. Note that Tiffany is included in this group!





On Sunday, we all met at Riverfront Park and took a few rides on the historic Loof carrousel. Maeve wasn't too fond of the moving horses, so she sat with Daddy. Rhett, four months older and fearless, rode his very own horse!





Then we walked over to the gondolas for a ride over Spokane falls:



Back home, it was time for some fun in the mini-pool, which we filled with warm water from the house because it was an unusually cool day for early August:



After dinner, everyone enjoyed some of Tara's homemade chocolate cake:



It was a chaotic, delightful weekend, with an almost six-year-old, two toddlers competing for toys, and a newborn. We're extremely grateful that Tara and Tiffany went out of their way to come visit and help us welcome Declan! We hope to entertain them again someday when Declan is older.
