Alaska Vacation

Rewind: back to our family trek to Alaska in early August. We had the best stretch of good weather ever in my experience visiting there. Under different circumstances, we would have spent a lot of those sunny days hiking and traveling away from town. This time around, we stayed mostly in the city but still had plenty of fun with the kids outside—at parks, along the coastal trail, and at the zoo. We even drove up to the parking lot in Chugach State Park at the trail head for some of our favorite hikes just to walk around the little loop trail with the kids and enjoy the view.
