Going to the pumpkin patch

Last weekend, we did our first annual trip to a pumpkin patch at Knapp's Farm in Green Bluff. We were last there in October 2006, before Maeve joined us. How time (like a pumpkin) flies!

First up—the hay maze, perfect for toddlers.







Finally, they took a quick break to pose for a picture:

While an early frost had mushified many of the pumpkins in the field, I did get this great picture of Daddy with his two pumpkins:

Pumpkin Cannon!

On October 18, we took the kids to Green Bluff for an afternoon farm visit, where we checked out the pumpkins and hay bales and farm animals. One of the attractions is a large air cannon used for pumpkin chunkin'. Here are two brief videos of the farm and the pumpkin cannon:
